When it comes to meeting new people or being exposed to different social situations Alan is confident, out-going and really friendly - he really enjoys meeting new people.
Alan's nature is true to his breeds mix - he is energetic, lively and loves to be on the go. Even though he is high energy, he is only young, and he does have an off switch - once his stimulation needs are met he is really cuddly on a sofa - and just loves company.
Alan loves walks, toy play, car rides and socialising with other dogs - there are plenty of ways to meet his energy needs - so we are looking for an active home for him. Alan will also need his own garden space to enjoy and expel energy in - it will also assist with toilet training.
We don't know how much exposure he has had to a house before - so an adopter needs to allow for a good settling in period and give him time to adapt and settle in - this may include toilet training.
It's clear that Alan hadn't has any training before coming to us - he didn't know how to walk on a lead - we have seen improvements in this and he can now walk nicely on the lead.
When it comes to meeting other dogs, Alan is really friendly and playful. When he plays off lead he is lively and energetic - he is best suited interacting with dogs of a similar energy level and those who love to run and chase just like he does.
